Cantor
Martin Goldstein continues a long family tradition of
hazzanut. He began singing at age six with Hazzan
Leibele Waldman in Atlantic City, NJ. He then
performed as alto soloist at Grossinger's Hotel with Hazzan
Moshe Ganchoff and the Samuel Sterner choir and at age
seven debuted in the last Yiddish production on 2nd Avenue,
Dos Pintele Yid. Cantor Goldstein began his cantorial
career at 19, at "Century Village," Deerfield
Beach, FL. He then served as full-time hazzan in
Hauppauge, NY (Temple Beth Chai) and Dobbs Ferry, NY (Greenburgh
Hebrew Center). In 1993, he and his wife Beth returned
to Colorado where he is Hazzan of the Hebrew Educational
Alliance in Denver. Although he began his professional
singing career as a Cantor, he is also classically trained
in both Lieder and Art Song. He has performed numerous
Classical and Cantorial concerts in Denver, nationwide and
in Israel, both individually and with his siblings Cantor
Adam and Amy Goldstein, and mother
Harriet Daar. Cantor Martin and Beth have three
children, Shayna, Jake and Rafi.

Night at the Opera - A Day in Shul is one of four CD's that
soprano Amy Goldstein will release in 2001. She is
proud and excited to be collaborating once again with her
brother Cantor Martin Goldstein, and husband Jonathan
Faiman. Ms. Goldstein has been gaining
international recognition for her performances and
recordings of Opera, Oratorio, Art Song, New Music, Jewish
and Cantorial music. She has sung with the Anchorage
Opera, the Central City Opera, the Banff Opera Theater, the
Britten-Pears Festival, the Manhattan School of Music Opera
Theater, the Center for Contemporary Opera and many
others. Ms. Goldstein's orchestral credits include the
Brooklyn Philharmonic, the New Philharmonic of New Jersey,
the Chicago Youth Symphony, the Pro Arte Chorale, and the
Anchorage Festival of Music. She is also an active
High-Holiday Cantor and a graduate of the Manhattan School
of Music. Ms. Goldstein resides in New York City with
her husband, pianist and composer Jonathan Faiman, and their
two cats Grace and Chester.

Faiman
Pianist,
composer and teacher, Jonathan Faiman holds a Doctorate from
the Manhattan School of Music where he coaches chamber
music. He is the pianist of The Ambrosia Trio.
He performs regularly with the Locrian Chamber Players and
composes for The Actors Company Theatre as an adjunct
company member. His recordings include a solo CD
entitled "Hie Up the Mountain" and the recently
released "Play On: Music for The Actors Company
Theatre".

Anna
Arzumanyan is a native of Armenia where she received her
Masters degree from Yerevan Conservatory of Armenia.
She moved to Denver, Colorado, where she is pursuing a
concert career.
